Q: Where can I travel to?
A: Chartering a private aircraft grants you access to thousands of executive use airports located throughout the United States. We require an approximate runway length of *4,000 feet minimum for jet aircraft and 3,500 feet for turboprops. *Weather conditions may require a longer runway.
Q: What refreshments are served on board the aircraft?
A: Eastern Air Express provides a selection of snacks and beverages aboard the aircraft. We will discuss your catering requests when we arrange your flight. We will coordinate catering for you and your guests, as well as arrange any special dietary or beverage requests.
Q: What happens when I arrive at my destination?
A: Eastern Air Express pilots will escort you and your baggage to the executive terminal buildings, where your ground transportation will be waiting. Eastern Air Express will gladly arrange all your ground transportation upon request at the time you book your air charter travel.
Q: What kind of security procedures can we expect?
A: We may request luggage and person checks, as well as picture ID verification by our Captains. At other destinations, you may be subject to security checks at those private terminals as well. You can be assured that our crew members have also undergone stringent background checks prior to being employed with Eastern Air Express. We implement the highest level of privacy and confidence with your personal information.
Q: Are there any cancellation fees?
A: Cancellation of a flight reservation must be given at least 24 hours prior to requested departure time to avoid a $500 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after aircraft has departed will be charged according to flight time on aircraft and pilot service charges.
Q: What if Eastern Air Express does not have an aircraft available for me to charter?
A: If we do not have an aircraft available that satisfies your travel requirements, we will use our network of approved charter partners to obtain whatever you are in need of.
Q: Are the airplanes safe?
A: Absolutely, the aircraft in the Eastern Air Express fleet are low time, well equipped and well maintained machines. Unlike many charter operators, Eastern Air Express does not believe in operating old or worn-out airplanes, we only operate aircraft that have far less time on them than the fleet average. We also believe in constantly updating the equipment in the aircraft with the latest in safety technology. In Eastern Air Express aircraft you can be comfortable knowing the airplanes have more hazard avoidance equipment than most airliners.
Scheduled maintenance is done on a regular basis to assure that all components and systems of the aircraft meet the very stringent regulations.
Q: What if I am interested in owning my own aircraft, can Eastern Air Express help?
A: Yes, we at Eastern Air Express operate our own aircraft and can operate your aircraft for you. We can even help off-set costs by using the airplane for charter.
Q: What level of training do Eastern Air Express pilots receive?
A: Eastern Air Express exceeds FAA requirements for pilots. Eastern Air Express pilots participate in FAA required recurrency training, medical exams and safety screenings. All pilots are FAA certified and licensed. Eastern Air Express provides a captain and copilot crew on every turbo prop flight.
Q: What if I have extensive travel needs but don’t want the cost of owning an aircraft?
A: Eastern Air Express can provide individual trip quotes, block time, jet cards, one way, and round trip pricing.
